JuteJute is mostly grown in India and Pakistan, has very strong fibers and is processed in a similar way to flax. Jute fibers can be harvested from the time when the plant blooms until it seeds. Jute fabric, also called gunny in the decoration field, is used for decoration purposes. Our Jute is relatively loosely woven and weighs 280 g/m². It is very cost-effective and of a high quality. Jute fibers are susceptible to decay, therefore it should be kept away from moisture, which in addition can cause the fabric to shrink significantly. Flame resistant fabrics lose their flame retardant qualitities if they are exposed to moisture! Gunny (Jute) is useful in the decoration field. For design purposes it can be used like hemp fabric, but is much more cost-effective. And if you want to create a rustic ambiance, jute is perfect. It is also ideal as a covering material, particularly for walls or furniture, or as gift packaging. With imagination the possibilities are endless!
