For a sound installation the relevant walls were covered with molleton. The goal was partially to improve the visual appearance, but more so to create an acoustically neutral environment and to eliminate reverberations in the empty room. By draping the material the sound absorbing qualities of the stage mollteton fabric were reinforced. The material is flame resistant in accordance with DIN 4201 B1.

Sportarena „Siemens Arena“ in Vilnius:

Here the molleton serves as a light and noise absorbing fabric. It both hides the empty stands and improves the acoustic properties of the arena. A classical application of black stage molleton.
